INCANTATION added to UNDERGROUND UNLEASHED FESTIVAL in India - February 1, 2011

US death metal pioneers Incantation have been announced for The Underground Unleashed 2011 Festival, which is set to take place September 30th - October 2nd in Darjeeling, India. Incantation founder/guitarist/vocalist, John McEntee had the following to say about the fest -

"The rest of Incantation and I are all excited beyond words about playing this year's Underground Unleashed Festival. This will be the band's first trip to India so we're really looking forward to bringing our brutality to the hordes of fans over there. Heads will bang and skulls will split when Incantation invades India!!"

McEntee's label, Ibex Moon Records, will be an official sponsor of the festival. Details are as follows:

In other Incantation news, McEntee recently hooked up with guitarist Alex Bouks (Goreaphobia) and bassist Chuck Sherwood to plant the seeds for what will become the band's highly-anticipated next album. Drummer Kyle Severn will join the fray in the coming weeks to contribute to the writing process. Though in its earliest stages, the new material promises to be the heaviest and sickest of the band's storied career.

"Many killer memories and also some real insane moments that'll forever be carved into our memories from this Onward to Golgotha trifecta of metal assault! The first show took place at the Reggie's Rock Club after merging with Funerus and Fatalist we were welcomed by the hellish maniacs who attended that night. Cardiac Arrest was a true sight to behold with their unrelenting rage and force. Great to share a stage with those grinding, churning, malevolent purveyors of metal yet again. The staff and everyone at the Reggie's Rock Club were brilliant. Re-introducing or reuniting with friends from Cult of Daath, Ezurate, Cyanide and our other friends and comrades who made the trek to come and show their support. It was great to share a stage and or see you all again! Our new mage of the stage, sound guy namely a John "Evl" Sustar was great at providing his talents to make for a killer show. Also his expertise came through with his amazing recording of the three shows which is sure to surface. Through the set of the first release which is the whole intent of these shows we also played some other tracks from the lengthy career of the project which were hopefully taken as we intended. With nothing but torturous metal energy!! From there we left for the long journey to NY's own Europa club. Aside from the new found camaraderie of our plethora of 'Johns.' Merch guy, number 2 of 4, John 'Mr.' Anderson keep our sprits high with his technique of cutting off impatient commuters in 'The City.' The 15+ hours on the road there (with little to no sleep) made my mind wonder to a scene in In the Mouth of Madness where the very road beneath the car would disappear to storm clouds and lightning. All of us persevered to a very rushed but successful show with the mighty Mortician sharing a stage with us for total of a little over an hour. Fatalist however who traveled from California wasn't so fortunate when they were notified they wouldn't be playing that night due to time constraints of an early end and a 'double dipping' situation having both a show and dance club on the same night. Our sympathies go out to them for although the events that transpired were out of our hands, long travels and miscommunication reigned indefinitely. The metal merchants which included Jim and Craig of the original Golgothaline up, Richard Christy, and many others who came out to support were a standing tribute to the dedication and ardent nature of metal. We salute you all, and thank you for making the night memorable. After a frenzy of equipment and merch whirlwinded from the Europa, we found ourselves back in the vans making miles yet again back to Cleveland. With our John 3 of 4, 'Driver John' Williams put forth an effort that shamed most, by hauling us and the gear for eleven-hour stints and just pushing himself to the limit. We finally arrive in Cleveland to a great start when Embalmer took the stage followed by thrash masters Soulless who after their 2nd song were abruptly stopped by a power outage that lasted what seemed like forever. After almost two hours of darkness the mood had turned from boredom to rage when Fatalist hit the stage crushing the audience before their immediate departure back home. Funerus was to follow pulverizing the audience yet again. With the whole of the show and the entire weekend for that matter Kristoff who took time from his busy schedule of shooting After Party Massacre, not to mention his horrormerch.com business. He and his camera were to follow documenting the trip, the insanity, and the violent barrage of metal that took place. Also to mention Kristoff's footage will be an official Onward to Golgotha: Weekend With Incantation DVD set, for next years release. Many hails to his flurry of paparazzi moments and all of the hard work he put into each show. In conclusion, the first album personally speaking was a mind altering experience back in the early 90's when I was a foot shorter and much more a novice to legendary death metal acts such as the one I'm now proud to be a part of. With a line-up of such insane musicianship and talent that made the Onward to Golgotha album I could only hope that the past three shows paid homage to them and kept the flames of their legacy burning bright. A strange situation in a way to find this said album being herald into a hall of fame when it was only such, to the minds of those whom came into contact with it. Amongst the 15-18 year-olds back then (myself included) who treated this album as a time honored piece, never could imagine such a thing. Hails to everyone who was involved and whom we've met while out for the three show run this past weekend. Till our next meeting."

INCANTATION "Onward To Golgotha" "Hall of Fame" shows with FUNERUS, FATALIST - September 18, 2010

Veteran U.S. death metal act INCANTATION has announced a handful of special shows where it will perform its classic debut album, "Onward To Golgotha", in its entirety. The "Onward To Golgotha" dates are presented by Decibel magazine, which inducted the album into the publication's "Hall Of Fame" in issue #52 (February 2009).

Originally released in 1991, "Onward To Golgotha" redefined the bounds of brutality and blasphemy for death metal and has long been heralded as one of the heaviest and most uncompromising metal albums in the world. Decibel also named "Onward…" one of the 20 best death metal albums of all time as well as one of the most important records in the genre.

Relapse Records will release a limited "Hall of Fame" edition vinyl version of "Onward To Golgotha" to coincide with these dates. The deluxe edition will be strictly limited to one pressing of 1,000 copies on colored vinyl and include an embroidered INCANTATION "Onward To Golgotha" patch and sticker. INCANTATION frontman comments on Maryland Death Fest - more festival appearances lined up - June 2, 2010

Coming off the heels of yet another explosive and successful appearance at Maryland DeathFest, Incantation frontman and Ibex Moon Records founder John McEntee issued the following statement:

"We would like to thank all of our friends fans and supporters for making our appearance at the Maryland DeathFest another massive success for the band. The response we have gotten from this performance is nothing short of incredible. For us it's great to see that our style of uncompromising death metal is still alive and well in the United States. We would also like to thank our good friend Martin Van Drunen (Asphyx, Hail of Bullets) for sharing the stage with us for our cover of “Scream Bloody Gore”. It was also great to see the positive response we got for doing our Dio tribute of the tracks “The Mob Rules” and “Stargazer”. This was something that is very personal to us and its great to see the death metal community as a whole understanding that death metal along with other styles of metal would be a much different place and I believe for the worst without Ronnie's influence."

"It was also the cool to get to hang out with all our friends and check out amazing bands like Autopsy, Sadistic Intent, Possessed, Coffins, The Chasm and Obliteration just to name a few. We want to personally thank Ryan and Evan four letting us be a part of such an awesome event. INCANTATION and FUNERUS announce european festival appearances - February 18, 2010

Fresh off a successful European tour with labelmates DIVINE EVE, along with HATE, NOCTUM and NERVE, legendary death metal outfit, INCANTATION are excited to announce their inclusion in two of this summer's most brutal metal fests. Both taking place July 15th - 17th, INCANTATION will be a featured headliner at the Obscene Extreme Festival in the Czech Republic and are playing Austria's Kaltenback Open Air Festival as well. INCANTATION guitarist / founder, John McEntee had this to say regarding the upcoming appearances,
"We are proud to announce that we will be one of the headliners for the Obscene Extreme Festival in the Czech Republic. We have heard a lot of great things about this festival and are looking forward to it very much. There are numerous other great death metal and grind bands playing so I'm sure it will be a great time. I would also like to thank the festival organizers for including my other band FUNERUS on the festival. We look forward to putting on a totally kick ass show and we plan on making this a very special performance for all of our die hard supporters.

INCANTATION announces shows with long time drummer Kyle Severn - July 20, 2009

Incantation is preparing to play their dominating and blasphemous brand of death metal for a series of upcoming dates in the fall of 2009 and the spring 2010, which will include longtime drummer Kyle Severn (from such records as Diabolical Conquest, Blasphemy, Decimate Christendom, and Primordial Domination).

The initial dates will take place over Labor Day weekend in the Midwest and then see the band traveling to Central America in late October/ early November 2009. Kyle comments: "Yes I’m excited to play some blasphemous death metal again with my Incantation family. Do you want some fuckin' metal? Well you had better be ready!! We have been practicing material from all of our records, expanding the band’s almost 20-year career. I’ve been in this band for many years and have traveled to a lot of places, but this will be the first time we travel to Honduras and Costa Rica. What an honor it’s going to be to play for the sick metal heads there."

Also, we would like to announce that we are confirmed to play main stage at Maryland Death Fest in 2010.. If you thought the 2009 lineup was spectacular, wait until you see 2010 lineup. This is going to be one of the best shows ever!!!!

INCANTATION will play L'Amour in Staten Island, New York on June 7 as part of the "Forsaken Throne of Golgotha" tour featuring songs only from the band's first three albums.

Pennsylvania-based death metallers INCANTATION have announced that Craig Pillard (ONWARD TO GOLGOTHA, MORTAL THRONE OF NAZARENE, FORSAKEN MOURNING OF ANGELIC ANGUISH) will be handling vocals for the band at the Central Illinois Metalfest, along with a few other shows throughout 2008. Craig comments, "We have already jammed on some of the old songs in Jim's [Roe, drums] basement and everything sounds great. We have a lot of great history and it will be a good experience to once again share the stage with the band."

Added INCANTATION mainman John McEntee: "I'm extremely excited to work once again with both Craig and Jim we really work good together and everyone has a lot of respect for each others contribution to the band's history. I really look forward to playing some of our older songs that we don't always get to play do to time restrictions at our shows. It will be cool to do a few shows that accent more of our earlier recordings. We will for sure pull out some songs that haven't been played in a long time. There are no long-term plans at the moment. With this line up we are just doing these shows more out of our own enjoyment then any big long-term reunion. We have always done the band because we enjoy it and with no long-term commitments we feel we can keep it enjoyable."

INCANTATION have returned from there first Japanese tour with ANATOMIA and label mates FUNERUS. INCANTATION's mainman John McEntee has issued the following update:
"We have recently returned from our "Death in Hell" Japanese tour. This was our first time playng Japan, We have been trying to play Japan for many years with no luck, so it was a great honor to get this opportunity. All the shows were great, the people were all really metal and respectful. We got the opportunity to play with our long time friends in Defiled and Butcher ABC along with some other killer bands like Coffins, Intestine Baalism, Sabbat, Ssore, and many more. Also on the tour was my other band Funerus along with the Japanese band Anatomia. Anatomia were great touring mates, they are a kick ass old school style death metal band and heavy as fuck. They were a perfect opener for the tour! It was also great for Funerus, we got a great responce everynight. on behelf of Funerus we want to thank all the japanese fans for the support. We want to send out a big thinks to Naru for doing a very professional job on the tour, truly a job will done. Also thanks to Naru's family for the great hospitality. Hails also gose out to my long time friends Tim Tumor, Takahi Tanaka, Yusuke Sumita along with everyone else for showing us a great time wile in Japan, We are eternally grateful. A big thanks to Reberto Lazarraga for kicking ass every night on Bass and being a true friend I can count on. its always great to share the stage with you."

Balkans Assassination Tour 2007: Important update and check in with band

John McEntee of INCANTATION:
We just got back from the "Flaming Arts Fest Tour 2007". This was our first time ever performing in Russia. We played along side are long time friends in Vader, Krisiun, Rotting Christ along with some cool guys from the bands Amenti and Riul Doamnei. I must admit I didn't know a lot about the Russian death metal scene before the tour, but I have to say it was over the top! We packed venues every night! The crowds were totally sick some if the craziest we have played for.

We were pretty busy traveling most to the time, but we did get time to visit red square. That was really cool, growing up in the time of the cold war it was amazing to get to visit and have some great gigs in a country that was once unheard of for a American band to visit. Also at the Moscow show I did a interview for the biggest metal video TV show in Russia. So that was a great honor.

On the "Flaming Arts Festivals" we also played our first time in Belarus. That was a phenomenal gig! The show was by far sold out and the death bangers were totally sick. After the show we did a interview for the legendary Minsk radio show metal massa brutto Alex the host was a really cool guy a true metal warrior .

I want to thank Massive Music and Flaming Arts productions along with everyone that made the fest tour happen. We are also honored to have gotten the opportunity to play for all our new and old school Russian fans alike, we look forward to returning again sometime. Next time with a headlining set.

Balkans Assassination Tour 2007: Important update and check in with band - September 24, 2007

Well the first leg of our 2 month European has come to a end. For sure The Northern Assassin Tour was a great success! I was told before we left that the Scandinavian scene wasn't too strong. Well, i can't speak for other tours, but for us it was great. We had a excellent turn out every night. There were a lot of cool, old school death metal fans at all the gigs. We also got to hang out with some friends from Grave, Nominon, Immersed In Blood, Rotten Sound, Beherit, Demigod, Demilich and many more. It was a honor to be apart of such a kick ass tour, everyone has been great the bands, crew, clubs employees and all the die hard death metal supports!
My new Mockingbird Special X has sounding great every night, it stays in tune great even with my low c tuning. What is also killer is that even as hard as I am on the guitar i haven't broke any strings yet.
We are now getting ready to conquer Russia on the flaming arts festivals. I'm sure it will be a great experience. I want to thank Massive Music for this great opportunity. I also want to thank Craig and Reyash for doing such a great job every night, it's a honor to perform with such great guys and amazing musicians."

"The first leg of the tour has been a huge success. everyone is very cool and all the bands are very talented and give 100% every night. On the equipment side of things let's just say that Zildjian was more than happy to help me out with the cymbals I needed for the tour. Thank you James McGathey for your prompt actions. The cymbals sound great! To all at Vic Firth, the sticks ordered for the tour are of excellent craftsmanship as always. The other bands have taken interest in them. By the way SONOR is king, I miss my drums immensely."

In addition there are a few important changes in the tour schedule of the
Balkans Assassination Tour 2007 featuring KRISIUN, INCANTATION, INACTIVE
MESSIAH and ESTUARY. The tour will start as planned, but dates in Greece
have been cancelled (the promoter of these shows turned out to be a
faker!) Previously announced show in Austria is also cancelled (the
promoter withdrew his offer!) Instead of these, we the tour has already confirmed
shows in Novi Sad (Serbia), Spisska Nova Ves (Slovakia) and Zlin (Czech

INCANTATION & FUNERUS ARE NOT playing The Cenexpo Festival of Armenia 2007 - August 24, 2007

Due to a lack of professionalism by the promoter involved with the production of the Armenia festival INCANTATION and FUNERUS will NOT be preforming on Saturday August 25.

John McEntee explains, "The bottom line is the promoter never paid for our airfare for the show. We tried everything we cold but we had no choice but to cancel. We are really pissed that the promoter has used our name to promote the show then not do what was needed to get us over there to actually play."

Nelson Syphorium Records, who booked INCANTATION on the festival, reply, " We regret this unpleasant news for all the fans of INCANTATION and FUNERUS. We expect some day to be able to have them return to our country,with the best treatment like the they deserve."

John continues, “Even with the major problems and financial loss that Cathedral Rock Productions had plagued on us, we still made the best of the tour and have worked with many great people. We also want to thank all the Incantation supporters that have came out to the shows along with everyone that have helped us make the best of our problems with Cathedral Rock Productions."

Incantation would like all metal fans to read the below detailed account from Tour Manager and bass player Roberto Lizarraga [who took over tour management duties after Javier Puentes of Cathedral Rock Promotions failed to purchase the originally requested, Victor of Tumba Production’s, airfare to Colombia] as said from his and Incantation’s experience on the “2007 PRIMORDIAL DOMINATION SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR”

Roberto begins with this statement:
"It must be made public to the world that the promoter in charge of booking this South American tour for Incantation is a fucking RIP-OFF and CON ARTIST, his name is JAVIER PUENTES of Bogota, Colombia and his production agency (I would call it a theft agency) is called 'Cathedral Rock Productions"

He goes on to explain what happened, “Javier Puentes owes Incantation a lot of money in plane tickets and band fees. Let it be known that 2 days before starting the tour this asshole tried to cancel everything. Incantation re-negotiated and agreed to purchase 3 out of 4 plane tickets from USA to Colombia then continuing from Chile back into the US, upon the grounds Javier Puentes reimburse this money from the attendance of the upcoming Bogota show. Little did we know (yet soon found out) Javier Puentes had previously received deposits from Lima (Peru), La Paz Bolivia and Santa Cruz (Bolivia). Javier Puentes charged these promoters and never used this money to purchase our flights.”

"We played in Bogota and after that things got very, very shady as Puentes started coming up with dozens of excuses regarding the Bogota show and the money we were supposed to receive. That night ended and we had to hit the road for the overnight to travel to Pereira, Colombia. After the Pereira show myself, and John McEntee agreed to meet at the hotel with Javier Puentes to settle the money situation. He never showed up and left us at the hotel. The next morning a friend of his left a message for me at the reception, and a hand written note saying ‘Do not worry Javier is in Pereira and will pick you guys up tomorrow!!!!’ He did not leave an address or a phone number where we could reach him we were left sitting in a hotel in the middle of Colombia without a SINGLE PENNY!!!”

"To our luck, at the Pereira show we met Ricardo Gutierrez from BRUTALIZED RECORDS. He came to the hotel the next day to have lunch with us where one of his friends told us how to find Javier Puentes. So we set off on a man hunt and found Puentes in a small hotel in the middle of downtown Pereira, hiding from us."

"At this point we were FORCED to threaten him verbally and physically. All we got from him at this point was $150 dollars and we could not use John's credit card for expenses because it was up to the limits with the plane tickets. He promised us again that as soon as we got back to Bogota he would have a lot more money from home and he would give us our money. Off course as soon as we got to Bogota we did not receive a dime. All we could do was wait because we NEEDED our plane tickets from Colombia to Peru, at this point all we wanted was to get out of Colombia AS SOON AS POSSIBLE"

"In the end and after MANY, MANY phone discussions, we met him at the airport in Bogota where he purchased ONLY 3 tickets to Peru for the band. I was forced to stay in Colombia for an additional day. Javier Zarate from ICARUS MUSIC (Peruvian promoter) helped us out by purchasing MY flight from Bogota to Lima to help us get out of Colombia. In the meantime, we were kindly assisted by Nelson Varela of SYLPHORIUM RECORDS, who got us to the airport, gave me shelter in his own house for the extra day and took me out sight seeing and drinking in Bogota."

"When we got to Peru, things got far better, then in Bolovia things got difficult again with one of the promoters who too was very short on cash. By the end of the Bolivian dates our hope of rescuing the tour was COMPLETLEY GONE, yet once we got to Chile, everything improved."

Roberto concludes ”So, I would like to send a blasphemous HAILS and THANK YOU to the following individuals who helped Incantation make it through this VERY PROBLEMATIC and so to say, sort of ‘successful" tour:

INCANTATION Mainman Explains Abbreviated Santiago Performance - July 2, 2007

Mainman John McEntee of Pennsylvania-based death metallers INCANTATION has issued the following statement regarding the band's abbreviated June 24, 2007 concert in Santiago, Chile:
"We need to apologize to all the people that came at to the Santiago, Chile show on June 24th. Five minutes after we arrived at the venue, we were told that the police wanted to shut down the show. The promoter Jose (from Inferno Rock Store) did some negotiations with the officers and then told us that the police gave them one hour before they were to shut it down. If the show wasn't over by then that the police would use force to break it up. So to try to prevent a riot, the promoter told us to rush on stage and do a short FUNERUS set then immediately do as many INCANTATION songs as possible. We were not happy with the situation but at the moment it seemed like the only option. The bottom line is that we hope the people from Santiago understand we wanted to give them a professional show like we were able to do at the other cities on the tour. Due to the unfortunate situation, we felt that playing some songs were better then nothing. We look forward to returning to Santiago to do a show the right way and give the die-hard INCANTATION supporters the best performance possible."

INCANTATION will be headlining a South American tour with label mates FUNERUS this June. INCANTATION founder/frontman/guitarist had this to say about the upcoming tour and performing double duties with each band every night:

“We have been back home from tour for a few weeks now. I have just been real busy getting things ready for the 3 new upcoming Ibex Moon Records releases ESTUARY, BLOODY SIGN and THORNAFIRE along with getting things organized with our European Ibex Moon Records office.

We all would like to send out a big thanks to Massive Music and crew for doing a amazing job with the tour we look forward to working with everyone again. The tour was a great success, we want to thank everyone for the great response every night. It was awesome to play for all you crazy death head! All the bands on tour were totally cool and we got long great with everyone. We look forward to touring again with ROTTING CHRIST, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MYSTIC CIRCLE, NEURAXIS and all the other bands on the tour sometime in the future.

Jim Roe did a great job filling in on drums. It was an honor to perform with him again after all these years and I look forward to working with him again some time down the line. DRUMMER KYLE SEVERN TO SIT OUT UPCOMING INCANTATION EUROPEAN TOUR

TRENTON, N.J. – Former Incantation member Jim Roe will fill in for drummer Kyle Severn on the band’s upcoming European tour with Malevolent Creation, Rotting Christ, Neuraxis, Mystic Circle, Harm, and Inactive Messiah .

“It sucks that I won’t be able to play drums for the European tour, but I need the time to fulfill some work obligations outside of metal,” Severn said. “It is a great honor to have Jim Roe helping and playing with Incantation again. He was and always has been a huge part of the creation of the Incantation drum style. His traditional, barbaric style of drumming has always been a signature of Incantation, and this is a style in which I always loved and tried to keep in Incantation.

Roe played with Incantation on the “Onward to Golgotha" and “Mortal Throne of Nazarene" albums. “Kyle will be missed on this tour but we are very fortunate to have Jim helping out,” said guitarist/vocalist John McEntee. “He really understands the Incantation sound and feeling.”

Added Roe: “I look forward to getting out on the road and jamming on some Incantation songs. It’s been a long time and I think it will be a great experience.”

The group has begun rehearsing with Roe in preparation for the tour. “I’ve heard the practice tapes and was blown away by the authentic feeling he has with the old songs and the new,” said Severn.

INCANTATION TO DOMINATE EUROPE

TRENTON, N.J. – Incantation will return to in February as part of the Domination Tour 2007 alongside Malevolent Creation, Rotting Christ, Neuraxis, Mystic Circle, Harm, and Inactive Messiah .
The Pennsylvania-based death metal band will also continue on with Rotting Christ, Malevolent Creation, and Rotten Sound for another six dates following the end of the tour.

“We’re looking forward to a kick ass tour,” said Incantation guitarist and frontman John McEntee. “We’ve been friend with Malevolent Creation and Neuraxis for a long time and it will be great to tour with them.”

INCANTATION ANNOUNCES FIRST US SHOWS OF THE PRIMORDIAL DOMINATION WORLD TOUR

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. – The first two dates of Incantation’s tour, which was scheduled to begin November 1, have been cancelled but the remainder of the tour will go on as scheduled.

The two cancelled dates are November 1 in Southgate, Mich., and November 2 in Heath, Ohio.

“We have no reason except that the booking agent said they lost contact with both promoters and the clubs themselves didn’t know about the shows,” said guitarist/vocalist John McEntee.

The death metal legends are touring with Internal Suffering and Year of Desolation in support of their recently-released seventh album, “Primordial Domination.”

“Primordial Domination” was released September 5 on Ibex Moon Records. The record sticks to Incantation’s tried and true recipe for brutal death metal, which has earned the band a reputation as one of the most important bands in the genre.

INCANTATION PREPARES FOR RELEASE OF SEVENTH FULL-LENGTH ALBUM - August 17, 2006

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. – Longstanding death metal outfit Incantation will release its latest album, “Primordial Domination,” on September 5 via Ibex Moon Records.
The record – the band’s seventh – sticks to Incantation’s tried and true recipe for brutal death metal, complemented with more leads and a crushing production.

“We feel very strong about the new material,” said guitar/vocalist/founding member John McEntee. “We never seem to run out of unholy dark metal movements.”

A track from the album, “Lead to Desolation,” is posted on the band and label’s official and MySpace sites.

“Primordial Domination” was recorded at Mars Recording Compound during the spring with the band’s current lineup of McEntee, drummer Kyle Severn, and bassist Joe Lombard. The album was recorded with engineer Bill Korecky, whom the band has worked on its previous five releases.

“These songs are really cool,” Korecky said. “The band approached me with a great production idea. They always move forward.”

Incantation previewed “Primordial Domination” on its Decades of Death US tour this summer with Vital Remains and Dawn of Azazel, as well as the hugely successful Diezmando a La Cristiandad tour of Spain last month, performing the last show for the “Decimate Christendom” album at the Gran Canaria in Las Palmas.

“We all had a great time and some killer shows,” said McEntee. “Both Trauma Production and Irredemption helped make this tour a truly a great experience.” For the Spanish tour, bassist Roberto Lizárraga for Infantum Obscure, who has helped out Incantation in the past, stepped in. “He did an amazing job on this tour,” McEntee said. “His dedication is something that we are truly grateful for and we look forward to working with him again.”

Incantation will perform its first shows after the release of “Primordial Domination” in Brazil, where the group will be playing with Dark Funeral and Funerus as part of the V Setembro Negro Festival.

INCANTATION HEADS TO SPAIN FOR STRING OF JULY DATES - JUNE 30, 2006

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. – Incantation will embark on a string of dates in Spain alongside Spanish death metal band Irredemption in July.
"We are looking forward to some sick shows,” said guitarist/vocalist John McEntee. “We have played Spain only two times in the past and both were great experiences with some of the craziest crowds in Europe.”
The “Decimate Spain” tour will kick off July 14. “We want to thank Trauma Producciones, along with all the die hard Spanish death metal heads for making this tour happen,” said McEntee.

Incantation is currently recording its next album, “Primordial Domination,” which is set for a fall release on Ibex Moon Records. The trio recently completely a co-headlining tour with Vital Remains dubbed “Decades of Death.”

Venerable extreme metal act INCANTATION celebrates DECADES OF DEATH -JUNE 1, 2006

Incantation will unleash its brand of decimating death metal across America as part of the Decades of Death 2006 tour with Vital Remains, Sin of Angels, and Dawn of Azazel.

The Decades of Death moniker is a tribute to the long history Incantation and Vital Remains both have in the death metal scene. "Vital Remains and Incantation have been around for almost two decades, unleashing metal fury on the world" said drummer Kyle Severn. "We are great friends and have a similar old school brutal death vibe. We thought that this would make a great onslaught of metal."

After the tour, the trio of John McEntee (vocals/guitar), Kyle Severn (drums), and Joe Lombard (bass) will return to the Mars Recording compound in Cleveland to continue recording their seventh album, "Primordial Domination." It will be released in Autumn 2006 on Ibex Moon Records and distributed through Megaforce/RED. "Primordial Domination" will be once again engineered and produced by Bill Korecky, who has worked with Incantation for the past 16 years.

The band will preview two songs from Primordial Domination on the tour. "We are extremely pleased with our new material and are eagerly waiting to unleash it upon the world" said Severn.

With the return of drummer Kyle Severn in 2000, the band came full circle as they went into the studio to record Blasphemy in 2002. After the release of Blasphemy, with the departure of Mike Saez, John McEntee took over vocal duties and prepared for extensive touring. The "Blasphemy World Assault Tour" took the band all corners of the earth, including many first time appearances in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Italy, England and Scotland. In March of 2004, John McEntee (guitar/vocals), Kyle Severn (drums) and Joe Lombard (bass) returned to the legendary Mars Recording Compound to work with longtime producer Bill Korecky (Integrity, Earth Crisis). The result is yet another primal slab of sonic death that is sure to make heads spin.

Decimate Christendom picks up where Blasphemy left off, as well as harkening back to their doomier past. Dark harmonies burn through the oppressively heavy guitar attack to conjure up images of demons and acts of the unspeakable. Once again, they’ve pushed the limits of death metal and delivered that “classic INCANTATION sound” – pure blazing aggression with total agonizing doom. Decimate Christendom has captured the band at their finest and most creative apex to date. While few artists leave an outstanding mark upon the music world, INCANTATION have built a legacy that will extend past their years. Their shadow has been cast forever over the genre, and we are eternally grateful.
