RAPE PILLAGE & BURN is set to release their debut EP - January 27, 2009

Dallas, TX-based death metal act RAPE PILLAGE & BURN is set to release their debut EP,/ Songs of Death... Songs of Hell/, through Ibex Moon
Records on January 27th.

RAPE PILLAGE & BURN is a band who have always committed themsleves to staying true to the underground regimes and the music they created. No doubt Ibex Moon sees the potential of RAPE PILLAGE & BURN's new material to unleash it to the unsuspecting metal masses.

Rape Pillage and Burn is exactly that…The meaning of the words! Violate,
Attack, and Destroy the listener with audible Hell! Rape Pillage and
Burn exists solely for this elite purpose. Rape Pillage and Burn was
born in 1997, by Michael Sleavin (Divine Eve, Infernal Oak) with the
goal of creating Raw, Aggressive, Brutal, Combative, and Extreme Metal
Music. Various musicians were involved in RPB over time, but the groups
were always dissolved/disbanded due to ideological, artistic direction
and musical differences. For many years RPB's mission schedule remained
dormant.

In 2004, Michael Sleavin teams up with Richard Cabeza (Dismember, Murder
Squad, Dark Funeral). Sharing the same philosophy and approach the two
agreed on what needed to be done. In this day and age of safe metal RPB
will exist to provoke and scorn the timid! With the desire to form RPB
previous band mates, Matt Killen (Divine Eve, Infernal Oak) and Geoffrey
Sawicky (Aesthetic Distance, Infernal Oak) join up and the Inferno began.

In 2005, RPB starts shaking the rust off by performing cover songs of
Metal Giants Sodom, Death, and Kreator. The Intensity was infectious
among the group. Metal was flowing with a fury in their veins. The
musical direction and ideas RPB wanted to ambush the listener with were
collective. Rapidly original RPB songs began to be written and
perfected. Audible Raids were soon to be conducted and executed…Only
they choose the time and place!

In Fall/Winter 2006, RPB enter Restoresound Studios with Jimi Bowman to
record their debut EP "Songs of Death…Songs of Hell" and five songs were
chosen out of the Audible Hell Inventory.

Winter/Spring/Summer 2007 RPB is once again dormant due to existential
and unforeseen events. June 2007 Geoffrey Sawicky leaves RPB. During
this time RPB form there own company Sick Serenades records and
productions in order to best support Elite Old School Death Metal. After
a tireless search in October 2007 Justin Coleman (Dagon, Valsgarde) join
the ranks and the chaos once again begins...

For the time being RPB continues to write original material for future
recordings and Audible Hell. Songs such as "Possessed"

"Kingdom of Decay" "Crescent Moon God Eater" "Commando Infidel"
"Spiritual Suicide" and "Crush The Relics" are filling the Audible
Armory. Morale is high among RPB for future operations… So look out, you
may be next to have napalm dropped upon your dreams!!
